HISTORY:
Inspired by the way when an Ayurveda physician diagnosed the miserable clinical condition of his wife very accurately, a great philanthropist and retired police officer late Shri Bsasppanna Mallappanna Kankanawadi of Yamakanamaradi, Hukkeri Tal. Belgaum Dst. Established this Institute in 1933 by donating all his retirement earnings of Rs.50,000/- with the intention to preserve, propagate and to develop our own system of medicine AYURVEDA. Under the establishment of Karnataka Ayurved Vidyapeeth Ayurveda College, Ayurveda Hospital and Ayurveda Pharmacy are established. Since then the Institute has produced thousands of Ayurveda Physicians besides treating several lakhs of suffering community. The Institute has also given lively hood to several thousand families directly or indirectly.  In the year 1990 the Karnataka Ayurveda Vidyapeeth merged into the Prestigious KLE society.
